John "JR" Robinson

John Robinson, aka JR has been singing for as long as he can remember. His first audition for his sixth grade elementary school choir was a flop. His teacher said he didn't sing loud enough. What no one knew was that John's voice was already changing.

Involved with both choir and the theater programs in his high school years, John had the privilege and genuine pleasure of studying music under the guidance of Dr. Saul Feinberg, well known for his teaching acumen among Music Educators. Under his Feinberg's tutelage, John's appreciation for all types of music blossomed.

For a year John went to Temple University as a voice performance major, but the technical aspects seemed to take away the fire he felt for the music. So he left the classrooms to learn about performing in the real world, a decision he has never regretted.

He has worked in local clubs and a number of performing arts and dinner theaters, never really desiring the "big break". He sings songs for their own benefit, and, of course, to make people happy. He has been writing songs since his high school days.

What does the future hold? No one can tell, least of all John. But he notes...
